The 10 Best Tweets About Netflix’s So-Bad-It’s-Good Original Christmas Movie ‘A Christmas Prince’

Every year, people around the country get in the Christmas spirit by settling in to watch Hallmark Christmas movies. The cheesy romance, the predictable endings and cringe-worthy dialogue have delighted audiences over the years because during Christmas, sometimes all we want is a happy ending and something to make fun of.

Well, step aside, Hallmark, because Netflix is taking your place this year. The Netflix original movie A Christmas Prince is so delightfully bad, and people can’t get enough of it. Let’s take a minute to set the scene. (SPOILERS AHEAD!) Amber, a young magazine editor wants more from her job but can’t seem to break into the writing scene. She finally gets her chance when she’s assigned to cover a press conference for the future king of a small country called Aldovia. Amber arrives in Aldovia to discover that the press conference she came for has been cancelled, but she decides to sneak into the castle anyway because she is not throwing away her shot. She’s mistaken for the young princess’s tutor, who isn’t set to arrive for two weeks, and settles into life at the castle.

Amber falls in love with Prince Richard (obviously) and finds out the prince was adopted and therefore cannot inherit the throne. But thankfully, she uncovers a secret proclamation the late king made that says Prince Richard can become king. Richard has his coronation and then promptly flies to New York to propose to Amber on New Year’s Eve.

It’s outrageous, pretty un-extravagant and everything you could want from a Christmas romantic comedy. Like all good things, the people of Twitter have had a lot to say about it, so we’ve rounded up some of the best reactions below.
