It’s 1:22am and I’ve just arrived to NYC! Best of all, I arrived in one piece! This morning I took my last final of the fall semester. Harvard has changed its schedule (finally) making this year the first year in its history to have finals before Christmas – every year before this students have returned after Christmas break to take exams and turn in papers! After 3 years of week-long Christmas breaks full of thoughts of papers and exams, it felt amazing to finish up the semester and really be able to relax. I spent the afternoon today listening to Christmas carols, wrapping presents, and relaxing. My boyfriend Alex and I went to a fantastic lunch at a restaurant in Harvard Square called Harvest. I had one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I hopped on a bolt bus tonight and got into NYC in a record 3.5 hours!
Here are some things I learned today:
1. Crab-salad & avocado on sourdough = best sandwich in the world.
2. Bolt buses are clean and have free wireless.
3. The free wireless on the Bolt Bus is SLOW. I mean REALLY SLOW. But hey, it’s free.
4. Exams are much better taken before Christmas.
We’ll keep you posted on the progress of our weekend!
