A few weeks ago, I was contacted by the kind folks at Windows 7 about a PC loaner program that they’re running. The program works like this: they loan you a brand new PC to try out for a year and in exchange you blog about your experience with it. My beautiful and trusty MacBook Pro has been with me for almost 4 years now and I fear that its departure from my life is unfortunately imminent. I’m almost counting on it dying at this point. Don’t worry – I’ve backed everything up on an external hardrive so I’m set.
Anyways, I got the email from Windows 7 and thought that a free PC for a year sounded like a pretty sweet deal. So, I got the computer in the mail today and I was surprised by 2 things:
1. How TINY it is.
2. How stinking cute it is.
I was expecting a regular sized, standard, boring old PC (let’s be real – PCs don’t exactly have a reputation for being “cool” – but then again that could be those MAC ads talking) computer and instead I got this super cute miniature computer with a soft patterend cover. It’s called a Windows 7 Asus Ee 1008P PC. The color I got was Coffee Brown. I’m a little pissed that they didn’t send the Hot Pink one but I guess I’ll get over it ;)
They sent along something called the Windows Anytime Upgrade. I haven’t tried it out yet but I’ll see how it goes and report back to you on it!
