Do you remember being little and wanting nothing more than a white Christmas? A combination of that lovely Christmas song, the excitement of sledding and building snowmen, and the novelty of snow in the South that has had me dreaming of a white Christmas for as long as I can remember.
If you’re anywhere remotely close to the East Coast, you know that this year my dreams of winter white on Christmas day came true. It started snowing at 7:45a.m. on Christmas morning and it still hasn’t entirely let up. In my hometown of Asheville, NC we’ve got at least 8-9″ of accumulation right now and I LOVE it.
On Christmas day, my 20 year old sister Kelsey and I built a snow person family consisting of a dad, a mom, and 2 kids, made snow angels, and went sledding at the neighbor’s house. It was an absolutely awesome way to spend Christmas afternoon.
Sledding is so much fun. I highly recommend it!
This picture of my dad and my sister lets you see just how huge the snow people were!
Here I am with my sister and our snow family! Aren’t they fun?
This is a view of my back yard. You can see our swimming pool on the right hand side. I don’t think I’ll be going swimming any time soon!
Here is a picture of my back yard that I took this morning. You can see that two of the snow people have collapsed and that the snow daddy is leaning pretty far to the left – too much snow has fallen since we built them!
