Last week, Windsor, Annie and I enjoyed possibly the most exciting “perk” yet of our job running Her Campus: Virgin Mobile flew us to Washington, DC to see a Lady Gaga concert! Virgin Mobile put together what they called the Virgin Mobile25 Summit – a group of 25 “celebrity bloggers” who they flew to DC for an amazing two day “branded experience” to introduce the bloggers to the Virgin Mobile brand and all it has to offer (such as connections with Lady Gaga!!). We were beyond excited when we found out a couple weeks ago that we were a part of the Summit.
So last Thursday, we flew to DC, a driver picked us up at the airport (!!), and took us to the super swanky hotel we were staying at – the Donovan House. Then, it was time to get dressed for the Lady Gaga concert! You can check out this post Windsor did about our outfits- basically we went all out! Windsor and I were twins! I got these sequin skirts when I studied abroad in Barcelona after my freshman year of college, for ten dollars each! And these neon tanktops are from 344. You never know when crazy items like these will come in handy–they were perfect!!

Before the concert, there was a dinner in the hotel for all the bloggers.

After dinner we all took a bus to the concert, which was at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC! Here we are in our seats at the concert!
The concert was incredible! SO crazy and SO much energy, and (as expected) Lady Gaga’s outfits were insane! She sang all of her hit songs and ended with “Born This Way”!
But the most exciting part was that we found out at dinner that we were going to get to meet Lady Gaga after the show!! We could not believe it. We weren’t allowed to take our own cameras with us to meet her, but their professional photographer got pics of us with her. So we’ll save that experience for a later post once we have those pics! All in all it was an out-of-this-world experience. Thanks Virgin Mobile!!!
