Stephanie’s weekend in NH with her mom!

A couple weeks ago, my mom and I went away for a weekend together to Portsmouth, NH!  We left from Boston on Friday and stopped in Newburyport, MA for lunch, a really pretty town right on the water.  We walked in and out of a bunch of shops, then walked along the dock, then had lunch at this seafood restaurant RIGHT on the water.  We sat at a sort of bar that instead of facing inwards to the restaurant, faced out to the water, and the water was right beneath you.

On Friday, I wore this new ivory and navy flowy top I got at 344, with black shorts by Aqua, metallic Michael Kors platform wedges, and a brown beaded necklace (it has one rhinestone bead) that was $2.99 at Gap Outlet!  It was not a typical outfit for me- I rarely wear flowy tops- I am much more likely to wear a tight, fitted top and flowy bottom- but I really liked it!  Now I want to get more tops like this.

After lunch, we continued on to Portsmouth, NH where we were staying for the weekend.  After checking in to our hotel, we went straight to nearby Kittery Outlets to get some shopping in!  They had an amazing J. Crew outlet where I got two pairs of shorts (including these white shorts I wore in DC last weekend), a patterned skirt (I might wear it for meetings in NYC later this week, so stay tuned!), and a bunch of fun necklaces.  The prices were amazing on everything.  Friday night we went to a delicious Italian restaurant in Portsmouth.

Saturday we spent most of the day by the pool, then went back to Portsmouth for dinner and ate at an incredible Mexican restaurant.  That night I wore this new French Connection dress I just got from Rue Lala!

After dinner, we went to this amazing ice cream place for dessert!  Here I am with my coffee heath froyo with Reese’s cups and hot fudge on top!!  Yum!

Sunday we went to the pool again, then drove back to Boston in the early afternoon!  It was a fun and relaxing weekend!

Have you gone on any fun weekend trips this summer?  Leave a comment!
