Sisterhood of the Traveling Dress

We all know and love the movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, right?  Windsor, Annie, and I recently realized we have our own version of it… the Sisterhood of the Traveling Dress!

Windsor, Annie, and I all wear roughly the same size in clothing, which makes lending each other clothes fun, and makes trips to NYC for meetings easy because we basically have one communal wardrobe among the stuff each of us brings!  Our styles are somewhat different from one another, but they also have some substantial overlap.  I like to say that our three styles could be a style venn diagram- there are some pieces only one of us would wear, some that two of us would wear, and some that all three of us would wear.

The below dress falls into the third category.

I got this dress at Filene’s Basement the summer after freshman year of college for $29.99.  It’s Marciano by Guess.  I loved the color and thought it was the perfect fun, comfortable, easy dress to throw on for formals, etc.  I wore the dress a few times over the next couple years.  Here I am wearing it to Quincy (my house at Harvard) Winter Formal my junior year, with two friends of mine.

By the end of junior year, I had gotten tired of wearing this dress.  Then senior fall, Windsor came over to my room looking for something to wear to her upcoming sorority formal.  She tried on this dress and loved it!  I had worn it so many times by that point that I told her she could just have it!

Here is Windsor rocking the Marciano dress at her Theta formal senior year:

Then a few weeks ago, Annie needed a dress to wear to her Leverett (her house at Harvard) Winter Formal!  Windsor brought in to the office a couple dresses of hers for Annie to choose from, including this one!  And sure enough, Annie picked it, not even knowing it had originally been my dress!

Here is Annie in the dress at her winter formal a couple weeks ago!

So we have now all worn this dress!!!
