Every year tens of thousands of people roadtrip into Coachella and then camp out in their cars for the three day music and arts festival. As a part of this tradition, tons of people love to throw paint all over thier cars and to fly flags, balloons, and other hovering objects above their antennas.
People will decorate their cars for 2 reasons – first because it’s fun to paint all over the windshield of your car and prove to everyone else on the highway that your love for Coachella exceeds your love for staying alive and highway safety, and second because making your car look ridiculous is the best way to make it easier to find when you’re drunkenly searching through the fields of thousands upon thousands of camped out cars.Â
Here are a few of my favorite cars from Coachella 2011.Â
My favorite thing about this campsite is that these people somehow managed to fit a folding table into a sedan – for the sole purpose of playing beer pong or flip cup on it. Now that’s dedication.Â
This may not be a car but I love that there are 8+ people on this golf cart. I also love that one girl is posing for my picture and another is hiding her face.Â
A minivan and a giant Corona bottle. A match made in heaven.Â
Peace, love & the American flag dude!
The Internationals have landed!
Something about this just doesn’t look safe.
It’s all about the love.Â
