Today is my second day in NYC!
It’s been a super busy day so far. This morning, I had a meeting with Cherif, the founder of Kembrel. We had breakfast at the Gramercy Park Hotel – it was amazing. Super cute deco – very english farmhouse meets vintage chic. I ate the ricotta cranberry pancakes – delish.
After that, I made friends with the concierge at the Gramercy Park Hotel while working on the new HC Media Kit in the hotel lobby. I accidentally sat at his desk (oops!) but he didn’t mind and said that he liked the company!
Later, I had lunch at Bond 45 – an awesome restaurant near Times Square – with Susan Slocum, a wonderful mentor and a close friend.
After that, I met the Daniella and Amy, the founders of eight1six, for coffee at the Grey Dog Cafe. After coffee, they brought me back to their office and showed me all of their amazing jewelry – including the three pieces that we’re giving away this week! I came to Starbucks for a coffee light frap to realize that Starbucks now offers free Wi-Fi! HOORAY! This realiziation just made my life 1000% easier.
NYC is fab. I’m falling more in love with it by the minute.
Day 2 of NYC Adventure: What I’m Wearing
I just went shopping at J.Crew so I’m literally a walking advertisement for them right now but whatevs. I’m wearing bronze satin J.Crew Ballet Flats, black skinny J. Crew capris, a nude cami from Express, a black J.Crew 2-button blazer with pick stitching, a necklace that I recently bought from Gilt, and 2 amazing necklaces from eight1six! Daniella and Amy gave them to me today and I’m obsessed. One looks just like the diamonds by the yard that Tiffanys makes but is affordable for us lowly college students (or recent grads – even worse!). The other is a gold chain with jade and gold beads that has a twisty David Yurman feel.
