As you might recall, I was stuck on a train on my way to NYC on Friday to visit my best friend Jackie. But the delay was totally worth it! It was so much fun visiting Jackie and we had an amazing weekend.
On Friday night when I got in (finally), we got Tasti D-Lite, then went out to some bars. On Saturday, first we walked all the way to Bloomingdale’s uptown and had lunch at forty carrots, then walked all the way downtown to Boom Boom Beauty Bar, then walked to Soho to do some window shopping, then walked to dinner in Gramercy where we ate at Barbounia– we did this thing where you can split a selection of 5 appetizers for $21.95- it was delicious and a really nice restaurant! Then we walked back to Jackie’s apartment and then went out to some bars in Murray Hill.
Today, I saw a play that my friend produced as part of FringeNYC, this special theater week in NYC. His play is called Baristas and is going on over the next few weeks- check out the Facebook event here! Tonight, Jackie and I ate an early dinner at Duke’s and then tonight I took the train back from NYC (no delays this time) and got a ton of Her Campus work done on the train now that Amtrak has free wifi (amazing)!
