If you read my post yesterday, you know that my Senior Honors Thesis in the department of the History of Science at Harvard University (I can’t count how many times I’ve written that darn sentence) is due Friday, March 5. Today is Monday, March 1. My thesis is 99.8% done. I need to line-edit and finish citing a few of my illustrations and then it’s no more thesis for Windsor time!
I think I’m going to turn in my thesis tomorrow. I know that turning in a thesis 3 days early sounds crazy. Truth is, it probably is crazy. Despite this, I’m done (or at least I will be tomorrow), and I know that if I leave it until Friday, I will just needlessly tweak words that don’t need tweaking, and fix sentences that are already fine to begin with. I’m kind of going with a “if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it attitude,” making my thesis as perfect as it’s going to be, and submitting it.
I am a little nervous about actually turning it in. It’s pretty final and I’m scared that if I turn it in early, I’ll spend the following 3 days combing through the version I turned in for errors, of which I’m bound to find one or two. When you write a 100+ page document, there are bound to be errors, no matter how many times you read the darn thing.
Anyways, right now I’m taking a break to write this post and take some pictures on my computer that illustrate the Love/Hate relationship I have going on with my Thesis right now.
