How To Dress Up for the Lady Gaga Monster Ball Tour

Note: Due to popular demand I am reposting this from the Catwalk to Campus blog.

Last week Annie, Stephanie and I went to a Lady Gaga concert at the Verizon Arena in Washington, D.C. as a part of the Virgin Mobile 25 Influencer Summit. Virgin Mobile selected the three of us to be a part of the Virgin Mobile 25, a group of bloggers from across the country who they feel are influencing the digital media space.

There are some awesome perks associated with being a part of the Virgin Mobile 25, one of which was being flown down to Washington D.C., put up in a swanky hotel, and being taken to a Lady Gaga concert. Yes, we know, being a blogger is awesome.

Naturally when we found out that we were getting to go to a Lady Gaga concert we started screaming with excitement. Then the real question arose: what in the world does one wear to a Lady Gaga concert?

Here are some tips on what to wear based on our observations last night:
 – Put beer cans in your hair
 – Don some cigarette sunglasses or otherwise cover your eyes with something crazy that makes it virtually impossible to see anything at all
 – Don’t wear pants
 – Wear a telephone in your hair (along with the beer cans if you’re feeling especially ambitious)
 – Rip holes in your fishnets and pair them with the tallest, craziest shoes that you can find
 – Get a nappy blonde wig
 – Cover your face in glitter
 – Put on something with sequins

Sound like fun? It is!

Check out some pictures of how Annie, Stephanie and I dressed up for the concert:
