Gen’s Gems: TV Theme Songs

Happy December readers!

As we prepare for the hectic time that is finals, we could all use some familiar music to aid us in the studying process. This week’s edition of Gen’s Gems features the theme songs of some of our favorite television shows whether they’re from back in the day or just our favorite Hulu go-to. I’ve compiled a list of a few that are featured as well as my current obsession. Be sure to head over to the homepage, take a listen, and let us know what show you look forward to watching each week!

Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Kaitlin Olsen, and Charlie Day of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

  • “Little Boxes” – Weeds
  • “Superhero” – Entourage
  • “Bad Things” – True Blood
  • “I’ll Be There For You” – Friends
  • “Temptation Sensation” – It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

I currently can’t get enough of: “At Least It Was Here” by The 88 from Community
As a big Joel McHale fan, I can’t believe I’ve only recently caught on to this delightful show. JM stars as a clever, arrogant lawyer who is forced to return to community college to finish his B.A. There, he meets a diverse group of students where fun plot lines develop. The lovely vocals and melodies from The 88 provide the perfect theme song.
