Happy Black Friday, readers!
This week, HC salutes you, Mr. West, for gracing us with hit after hit. From your early days of “Through the Wire” to “Runaway” on the current Billboard charts, you’ve filled our iPods with kick-ass jams for years. Though we may not agree with your behavior, I think we can all agree that you are a lyrical mastermind who impresses with the release of every new album.
Here’s a peek at some of the songs I chose for this week’s playlist:
- “All of the Lights” – Straight off of KW’s new album, this powerful tune features artists like Rihanna and Kid Cudi with an infectious bass line and chorus to match.
- “Homecoming” – What do you get when you add a peppy piano, the lovely vocals of Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Kanye’s sick rhymes? Yep, this song.
- “Drive Slow” – I’ve loved this super slow jam ever since it was featured on an older episode of “Entourage.” It stands on its own, even without the antics of Vinny Chase, Ari Gold, and friends.
