Funny YouTube video from UMichigan Students

You know how they say that every stereotype stems from a grain of truth? A few students at the University of Michigan clearly agree and decided to pay homage to the Jewish-American Princess or “JAP” in one of the funniest YouTube videos I’ve seen in a while.

Their rap, “The Pursuit of Jappiness”, is an overblown satire about the stereotypical JAPs who go to their school. And let me make it clear that this is definitely NOT representative of most Jews. But as someone who is Jewish (and proud!), I can attest that there is a small segment of Jewish girls who fit these guys’ depiction of the quintessential JAP hilariously well.

Personally, I wouldn’t be caught dead in Ugg Boots and I don’t have a Blackberry, but this rap is obviously meant as a joke and I thought it was pretty clever. So check it out below and let me know what you think! Is this video funny? Offensive? Or just plain silly?
