“Collegiette™ Song of the Day”

All the buzz about the Breakout Band Old Navy Competition on Her Campus has probably got you wondering – What is Breakout Band all about?

Well, Her Campus co-founder Windsor Hanger got together with friends from college to make her own song. Now dubbed the “Collegiette™  Song of the Day“, Windsor’s remix to Old Navy Record’s “Vacay Sway” and original vocals has become one of our favorite hits. We’re all hoping to see it hit the competition leaderboard and to see some more collegiettes’™  songs featured on the site.

We asked Windsor about the process of creating a song and her experience overall. She said that using the Beat Maker was way easier and way more fun than than she had expected. Windsor commented that she found herself playing in the vocal studio for well over an hour and insisted that anyone can have fun in the Breakout Band studio and create a song in the vocal booth using PitchFix and BeatMaker. You don’t need any musical talent or prior song writing experience whatsoever.

The Breakout Band Competition is definitely something we suggest you check out. Who knows – maybe your song will even win and be played in Old Navy Stores nationwide!
