“Body Heat” Steams Up September

A few weeks ago I wrote about “White Heat,” the latest release from Brenda Novak. Well, I recently had the pleasure of reading “Body Heat,” the second book in Novak’s Department 6 trilogy and wanted to let you all know how fabulous it was!

“Body Heat” follows the story of Sophia St. Claire—Bordertown, Arizona’s new chief of police—and Roderick Guerrero, Department 6 hired gun. Sophia and Roderick have somewhat of an awkward past and they’re suddenly forced together to solve a series of murders in the desert. What follows is a fascinating story of suspense, romance, heartbreak, and mystery, and it doesn’t disappoint.

Brenda has a true passion for keeping readers on the edge of their seats and I was captivated all the way through the book. She achieved just the right mix of mystery, humor and emotion and I couldn’t wait to get to the end of the story to solve the crime alongside the main characters.

I’d definitely recommend “Body Heat” to all of you! It’s out now, so check it out!
