This Colorist Uses Nutella as Hair Dye & It’s Nuts

What if I told you to kiss your hair dye goodbye? What if I told you you that you no longer have to worry about that concerning chemical smell and burn? What if I told you that the solution could be found right in your kitchen cupboard (potentially with a spoon still left inside of it from last night)?

Abed & Samer, a salon based in the United Arab Emirates, offers a Nutella hair treatment. The hazelnut spread is mixed with condensed milk (this sounds like it could also double as a dessert!) to create a gorgeous brown color.

Beauty blogger goddess Huda Kattan, from Huda Beauty, documented the entire process on her Instagram account. The stylist used the concoction to transform a client’s golden locks into a hazelnut-brown tone.

In a recent interview with Metro, hairstylist Abed Allahitani, estimated that the Nutella dye should last two to three weeks when used to create a caramel hue, and even longer for a darker shade. While the longevity of the dye might not be comparable to a chemical dye, on the positive side, the chocolate smell might linger around until the time that you’re due for a touch-up!

Would you ditch the boxed dye for this new hair trend? Or will you stick to using Nutella to stress-eat during exam season?
