Every Glossier Makeup Product Ranked, According to a Rep

We all know and love Glossier — I mean are you even a beauty obsessive if you don’t have at least two tubes of Balm Dot Com on you at all times? Glossier has earned a major spot on the beauty market (and in my heart), and its products continue to break the internet launch after launch.

I’ve definitely tried my fair share of Glossier products, from Milky Jelly to Cloud Paint. There are so many Glossier makeup products to try now, and it can seem a little overwhelming when you’re new to the brand, so I’m ranking my faves so you know what to shop first.

13. Glitter Gelée

The entire Glossier Play launch was a let down for me, in many ways. The excess packaging didn’t sit well with me, and the formula itself was just not what I expected. Beyond the packaging, the glitter itself isn’t biodegradable. This glittery gel eyeshadow was harsh on my sensitive skin. I have bad eczema on my hands, arms and legs, but I occasionally get a small patch on my eyelid, too. If you have eczema or other skin sensitivities, be careful with this one.

12. Colorslide

I loved the shade range of these eyeliners, but they didn’t glide on and they didn’t stay on for me. I picked up the shade “Early Girl,” and it was fun to play with on my waterline, but it took me tugging to get true color payoff.

11. Generation G

I’m not a huge lip color person, so I was really excited for a sheer product like Generation G. I tried the original formula back in the day, as well as the current formula, and both were just meh to me. My lips needed to be super hydrated for the lipstick to look good, but then the lipstick could barely adhere. Super cute concept, but I’ll stick to the gloss.

10. Lidstar

I feel like putting Lidstar low on the list seems so harsh, because I actually do like it — I just think there are better products. I really love doing my makeup before classes every day, but I also lean more on the natural-looking makeup side. Lidstar is perfect for the days you just want a quick wash of shimmer and color, but not so great for the days you want a powerful eye look. My favorite shade is “Slip” and I totally recommend that one if you love pink.

9. Wowder

Nine times out of 10, I’m going for a dewy look, so I really only use Wowder when I need a little extra coverage for a horrible breakout. Wowder is so amazing for blurring my pores and making me feel like if someone took a photo of me with flash on, I wouldn’t totally hate it. My only issue with the product is that I wish there was a wider shade range because the lightest shade pulls a little orange on me.

8. Vinylic Lip

I don’t wear this often, but it gets major props for the formula. I have the shade “Pony” and it’s so easy to go from a nude pink lip stain to a strongly pigmented, high-shine gloss. This is perfect for a girls’ night out, or just a quick run to the grocery store.

7. Haloscope

The shine! The dew! Haloscope is everything you’ve been wanting for that glazed donut effect. It’s so incredibly moisturizing, and boy does it last on your face. It glides on the skin so easily, it isn’t too shimmery, and it leaves such an intense glow. My only recommendation with Haloscope is that it’s best used on top of a smaller amount of face makeup because it’ll typically over-blend with the foundation.

6. Boy Brow

Boy Brow is one of the most iconic products from Glossier, and it has been a favorite of mine for a long time. It’s so good at adding dimension to your brows and making them seem so much fuller. I have naturally dark hair, so I use Boy Brow in the shade “Blonde” to lighten my brows. It lasts all day and is never crunchy.

5. Lip Gloss

The Glossier Lip Gloss is pretty much the only lip product I enjoy wearing. It’s thick, but not goopy. The shine is out of this world, and it keeps my lips so hydrated throughout the day. This is the best lip gloss I’ve ever tried, so yeah, I’ll keep it in my purse until the day I die.

4. Perfecting Skin Tint

I never got the hype for the old Skin Tint formula, but once they reformulated, my world was changed. Because I’m so pale, I really struggle with foundation, so an adaptable skin tint is perfect for me. This tint evens out my red cheeks, blurs my pores, and leaves me looking super dewy. It’s nice and hydrating, but never too tacky, so all of my other makeup layers over it perfectly.

3. Cloud Paint

Let me get on my soapbox for this one. I have super red cheeks, so I’ve always hated wearing blush. I could never find the perfect blush, until Cloud Paint. It’s so lightweight and cushiony, so it’s super simple to blend. I find that a little goes a long way; I still have my shade “Puff” from the original launch! My secret to applying this is putting on Skin Tint first, then Cloud Paint, then lightly blending some concealer over it. This makes the blush diffused, natural, and perfect for every day.

2. Lash Slick

Considering my go-to mascara is only $3 at Target, I didn’t know how to feel when Lash Slick first launched. I ordered it, though, and was blown away. It’s my favorite formula I’ve ever used; it’s lengthening, volumizing, slightly curling, and really looks like I have extensions. The mascara isn’t too wet or too dry, so it’s highly pigmented but doesn’t smudge and flake everywhere. I seriously can’t recommend Lash Slick enough to anyone who needs a little length. I’ll buy this baby over and over again.

1. Future Dew

Okay, where do I even start? After Glossier Play, I felt a little bored with most of the Glossier launches. When I got the email saying Future Dew was an oil-serum hybrid launching soon, I was pretty skeptical. But… wow. I’m putting this at the top of the list because this is the best primer I’ve ever tried. Glossier really did bottle up my dream dewy look. This is incredibly hydrating and makes me feel (again) like a glazed donut. My makeup looks smoother and more radiant when I use this, so I’ll never let it go.

Glossier has so many amazing makeup products, and every person will love things differently! I think we can all agree, though, Future Dew is pretty much everything.
