My name is Yasheeta Singhi and I am a final year Product Design student at Lasalle College of the Arts. I am interested in how objects, spaces, and everyday systems shape the way people live and interact with their surroundings. Through studying product design, I have developed an approach that focuses on understanding real user needs and translating them into thoughtful, practical design solutions. My academic work often explores the relationship between functionality, culture, and sustainability.
Throughout my studies, I have worked on projects that involve user centred design, material exploration, and problem solving through design thinking. These experiences have strengthened my interest in how traditional knowledge and local practices can inform contemporary design. I am particularly interested in design that balances innovation with cultural awareness and that creates products which are both meaningful and practical in everyday life.
Alongside design, I enjoy writing about design, culture, fashion, and lifestyle topics. I am curious about how small habits and everyday objects often reflect broader cultural trends and shifts. Outside of my academic work, I enjoy discovering new cafés, trying new experiences, watching films, and activities that bring a sense of adventure. I hope to continue exploring ideas that connect creativity, culture, and everyday life through both design and writing.
