Ximenna Chaponan

This will be Ximenna Chaponan's first year on Her Campus. Her role is to write articles that readers will enjoy, attend meetings, and help with anything she can to help the members of Her Campus.

Before Her Campus, she was involved in many extracurricular activities such as Dance team for 3 years in High school and dancing outside of school. Being part of the theater department, student counseling, French club, Red Cross, Honor Society, Art Honor Society, Latino Achievers, Crosby Scholars, and Rise Up. She was able to have many leadership roles and manage her time wisely. She also created her club for women in her high school to not feel excluded when it came to being first-generation students. This club allowed one of the members who was the most active and needed it the most to get a scholarship. This club also spread information throughout the school about the cause and participated in fundraisers. Now, she is a sophomore at NC State majoring in Civil Engineering and Minoring in Geology.

Ximenna was born in Peru and moved to the US when she was little. She has moved to several states before living in North Carolina. Her hobbies include coloring, shopping, dancing, hanging out with her friends and family, and traveling. Her passion for becoming an engineer is very strong since she's always interested in how things work. After graduation, she plans on traveling as well as finding a job that will challenge her in her field of work.
