Hi everyone! My name is Wilma and I am a girl from Sweden in my third year doing my BA in International Relations.
I have always desired to have a career where I can help people, hence my passion for human rights and the politics surrounding it. I aspire to work at the UN or becoming a human rights lawyer. I wrote my high school dissertaion about crimes against human rights which helped me deepen my knowledge surrounding the topic and only fueled my passion for helping people even more. I also took part of a UN course in my senior year of high school, learning about the threat of nuclear weapons as well as the aftermath of war in specific countries, and how dangerous forgotten landmines can be to societies attempting to recover post-conflict.
I joined Her Campus to improve my English writing skills as well as taking part of the exciting world of journalism! I will be publishing articles about light and fun topics, but also serious ones such as ongoing conflicts or issues within our global world.
Outside academia, I enjoy reading books, playing video games, spending time with friends, and most of all being in nature.
