Victoria Torres is a college student at the University of Alabama with a strong interest in nursing and psychology. She recently graduated from high school and began her college journey with the goal of pursuing a career in healthcare. Her interest in nursing comes from her desire to help others and make people feel comfortable during difficult situations. She has always been interested in understanding problems, figuring out what is wrong, and finding ways to help. These interests have encouraged her to pursue nursing and work toward a future in a hospital setting.
Throughout high school, Victoria was involved in leadership and community service. Her experiences working with younger children helped her develop patience, communication skills, and a stronger understanding of the importance of helping others. She also values the relationships she has built with teachers, classmates, and members of her community. These experiences have helped her become more confident and comfortable working with different people. She hopes to continue building these skills throughout college and use them in her future career.
Outside of academics, Victoria enjoys reading, playing golf, spending time with friends and family, and being involved in her community. She has played golf since she was seven years old, and the sport has taught her the importance of teamwork, patience, and perseverance. As she continues her education at the University of Alabama, Victoria hopes to grow both personally and professionally. Her long-term goal is to become a NICU nurse and eventually advance her career in nursing. She hopes to use her education and experiences to make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families.
