Veronica Rock is a writer for Her Campus at North Carolina State University. This is her first year at Her Campus. As a writer, her role is to create articles to be published on Her Campus's website. She wants to write articles in each category, especially entertainment, fashion, and LGBTQ+.
In high school, Veronica participated in her school's student government as an elected representative. She has an interest in agriculture; thus she joined FFA as a high schooler. In FFA, she participated in a variety of competitions that tested her agricultural knowledge and public speaking skills. Other clubs she was a part of in high school include knitting club and Science Olympiad. As a high schooler, her coursework consisted of core classes, agricultural classes, and creative writing classes. Now Veronica is attending North Carolina State University. Her major is Political Science, so her courses are focused on the humanities. She aims to use this major in the future to work with businesses, nonprofits, or the government to help people less fortunate than her.
Veronica Rock was born in Huntington, West Virginia, but has spent almost every year of her life in North Carolina. She has an older sister who inspires her. You can see her on any given day wearing a pink dress and walking to the nearest Starbucks to get a pumpkin spice latte. She has many crafty hobbies including sewing, crocheting, and weaving. Really, any activity that sparks her creativity is intriguing to Veronica. A lot of her time is spent writing anything from poems to novels. Her greatest interest, however, has to be music. She spends hours of the day listening to artists like Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, and The Weeknd. Her favorite YouTube videos to watch are breakdowns of popular albums and songs. Plus, her interest is not limited to listening to music. She plays an instrument, the viola, writes song lyrics, and likes to sing. Veronica is very excited to write articles about her passion!
