I am Vaani Taparia, a first-year BSc Honours student at Krea University, where I am planning on exploring the intersection of Data Science, Finance, and Economics. I recently completed my schooling at Sri Sri Academy, Kolkata, where I developed a strong interest the ways in which technology can be used to understand and solve real-world problems. My academic journey has also given me opportunities to explore programming, and I am particularly interested in building a career that combines quantitative thinking with business and economic decision-making.
Outside academics, I have always enjoyed being involved in different activities and communities. I have been an active table tennis player for several years and have represented my school at multiple regional and inter-school tournaments, including serving as captain of my school team. Sports have taught me discipline, teamwork, resilience, and the importance of staying composed under pressure. I have also taken on leadership roles in school, including serving on the student council and contributing to events, clubs, and student initiatives. These experiences have helped me become more comfortable with collaboration, communication, and taking responsibility.
Art and music are also an important part of my life. I have been passionate about art since childhood and enjoy exploring different creative forms. I also trained in synthesizer for over seven years and completed a diploma after five years of study. I enjoy experiences that allow me to combine creativity with analytical thinking, which is one of the reasons I am drawn to interdisciplinary education. I am always keen to learn, meet new people, and explore ideas that challenge the way I think.
