Hello! I’m Tejas. I’m currently studying Product Design at Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore. I’m an international student from India and I did my AS and A levels from Inventure Academy in Bengaluru.
I’ve always been fascinated with design and my love for it started with fine arts. I would make sketches, paintings with many mediums up until my AS and A levels where I started getting interested in graphic design and product design. With my school offering a beyond arts programme, I took the opportunity to design the layout for our school magazine. I’ve also done some internships at edtech companies for graphic design but I ended up choosing product design as my course at LASALLE. My interests in design keep changing and so far I’ve been enjoying this course a lot. It feels very hands on and technical which has given me a new perspective on design.
I also love geography, specifically meteorology, to a point where I can’t stop thinking about the climate. If it wasn’t for product design, I would be doing something in geography. I’m also really interested in planes and one of my favourite hobbies is to go close to the airport to plane-spot. Some of my other hobbies include swimming, dancing, skating, cycling, travelling and watching sunsets. If you get to know me, you know I love a good sunset since I block my calendar from 7-8pm just to watch the sunset. Yes, it really is that important to me.
