I am a junior majoring in Biology at Savannah State University. My goal is to earn a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and contribute to research that helps improve the lives of those with neurological conditions. My interest in neuroscience is deeply personal—having experienced seizures myself, I’ve become fascinated by how the brain works and what causes these complex events. This experience motivates me to learn more and pursue a future in scientific discovery.
Outside of academics, I love journaling as a way to reflect, express myself, and track my growth. Writing helps me stay centered, while going to the gym gives me a sense of strength and balance in both my body and mind. I believe self-care is more than just rest—it’s about consistency, discipline, and celebrating progress in all forms.
When I’m not studying or working out, I enjoy experimenting with makeup and finding new TV shows or movies to get hooked on. I love exploring different forms of self-expression. Through Her Campus, I hope to share my story, connect with other young women, and inspire others to chase their goals with confidence and authenticity.
