Hi, my name is Piper Reese, and I am a student at the University of Virginia, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Global Development. I plan to work in education development in the international, non-profit sphere after graduation. I am deeply involved in a variety of leadership roles, including her position as a Karsh Institute of Democracy Fellow and Director of Service & Philanthropy for Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
Outside the classroom, my commitment to service shines through my work with the Young Women's Leadership Program, where I mentor middle school girls on academic and mental health issues. I also create impactful media content for The African Soup, focusing on children's literacy and education in Uganda. My role at Roots Natural Kitchen and previous positions at Taste Unlimited have honed my skills in fast-paced, customer-oriented environments, serving as a foundation for my robust problem-solving and communication abilities.
My diverse interests extend into fashion and politics, areas I plans to explore through her writing on Her Campus. With experience in political consulting through Cavelier Strategies and hands-on volunteer work with Cville Tulips supporting refugees, I bring a rich perspective to discussions about fashion, relationships, and women-centered political issues. Whether organizing philanthropic events or engaging in dialogues on American politics, I am driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in my community and beyond.
