Hello, my name is Sydney Marsh. I am a freshman political science major on the pre-law track from Boone, North Carolina. I attend Howard University, and I am a part of the socials team of Howard University's Her Campus chapter. I have a strong interest in creativity, communication, and social change. I want to explore academic paths in social sciences and media-related fields with a long-term goal of pursuing a career that helps me advocate for marginalized communities while also engaging in creative expression. My academic interests include media studies particularly in how culture, identity, and power are shaped by images and storytelling.
In my personal time, I love doing artistic and athletic activities, which include digital design, drawing, snowboarding, and playing volleyball. I am interested in content creation and branding. I enjoy exploring how visual aesthetics and storytelling can be used to connect to audiences in powerful ways. Through academic and personal interests, I hope to combine both to create meaningful work that contributes to society in a positive way. My goal is to continue to grow as a student, leader, and creator while also using my voice and skills to make an impact on my community.
