Sophia Makin is a Junior Journalism major at the University of Connecticut. She enjoys writing about current sports, sports history, and opinion. Her main interests are in F1, NBA, WWE, NFL, and soccer (both club and national).
Beyond Her Campus, Sophia is involved with UCTV Sports, a student-run broadcasting club focused on UConn athletics. She has reported on Men’s Soccer and Women’s Hockey through coach/player interviews, recording SOT, and editing/uploading packages for games. She also works as a tour guide for UConn’s Lodewick Visitors Center, where she is able to strengthen her public speaking skills.
In her free time, Sophia enjoys working out, watching television with her friends, and calling her family back in Chicago. She especially loves going to the movies and finding new places to eat around campus.
