Sophia Comiso

Sophia Comiso is a second-year student at the University of Virginia majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business. She is particularly interested in how consumer behavior, identity, and emotion intersect which is an interest that fuels her passion for marketing and brand strategy. Through her academic work, Sophia has developed a strong foundation in understanding decision-making and perception, which she enjoys applying to creative, real-world contexts. As a writer, she aims to blend analytical insight with storytelling, making ideas around culture and style both thoughtful and accessible.

Sophia is the creator of The Style Mind, a platform where she explores fashion as a form of self-expression and psychological storytelling. She is drawn to the ways clothing can influence confidence, mood, and personal identity, and loves analyzing trends through both a creative and behavioral lens. Originally from New England, Sophia has a soft spot for coastal Massachusetts and spends her free time dreaming about her next trip– whether that’s a weekend in New York City or somewhere entirely new. She loves “basic girl music” (think Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo), La La Land, Little Women (especially the 2019 movie), pink everything, and Gossip Girl (as a proud wannabe Blair Waldorf).
