Selena is a current undergraduate student from Hong Kong, studying at the University of Michigan. She majors in LEAPS, an education major focused on directly supporting local communities through solution projects and volunteering. Outside of Education, Selena is also interested in the intersection of humanities, including economics, women's and gender studies, and psychology.
Outside of academics, Selena is passionate about LGBTQ+ advocacy and feminism. She served as the DEI ambassador, hosting speeches and conversations on topics such as misogyny and racism within her high school; these themes will often appear in her writing, as she loves analysing how patriarchy and colonialism have affected our everyday life.
