Hi, I'm Savanna! I am 20 years old and currently a junior undergraduate student at Old Dominion University, but I completed my first two years of undergrad at Howard University. I am a psychology major with a minor in human services, and while my career goal is to become a school counselor, writing has always been a hobby of mine. I was editor-in-chief of my high school's paper for three years, but since then I've let writing get away from me. This year I plan on getting in touch with my past (writing) self!
I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, so I spent my days growing up on the water and in the sand. I traded all of that coastal fun in for the city life when I decided to move to Washington DC to attend Howard University after I graduated high school. After two years in the city, I decided that I wanted to be somewhere closer to home, and to the beach. That is how I ended up where I am now, in Norfolk attending Old Dominion University!
My favorite thing to do is work with kids, so I spend my summers as a camp counselor and winters as a daycare assistant. I love pop music, with Ariana Grande topping the charts of my Spotify stats for year after year. Some of my other favorites are Troye Sivan, SZA, and UMI. I thoroughly enjoy teen dramas like The Summer I Turned Pretty and Ginny and Georgia, albeit the cringe worthy moments. I love everything about being a girl, and I love seeing the perspectives of other fellow girls!
