Ryan Vasquez is a chapter writer at Her Campus Baylor. She works closely with the Editor-In-Chief on the Editorial Committee. Together, they publish articles centered on wellness, lifestyle, and culture.
Ryan has previously been Editor-in-Chief for her high school’s news publication The Saugus Scroll, where she managed teams of writers covering stories of all topics such as sports, news and features. She has also interned and written for the City of Santa Clarita’s Communications department creating news announcements distributed city wide. She is currently a sophomore with a Political Science major with a News Editorial Minor. As well as being a full time student, she is an athlete on the Track and Field and Cross Country teams for Baylor. After graduation she plans to pursue a career as a lawyer.
Ryan is a lover of all things music, and frequently attends concerts with her sister, some of her favorite artists being Taylor Swift, Tate Mcrae, and Megan Moroney. Ryan loves baseball and being born and raised in Southern California, she bleeds blue for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In her freetime, Ryan can usually be found shopping for shoes with a matcha in her hand or trying out new recipes with her boyfriend. She is also always down for a Barnes and Noble run.
Ryan is a large advocate for mental health and wellness and is a part of the Safe Minds Initiative advocacy group.
