Hi, my name is Rowan! I'm an editor with HerCampus and am in my first year of the Arts & Sciences program at McMaster University. My interests lie primarily in the field of science, with emphasis on genetics, biochemistry, theoretical physics, and quantum chemistry. I'm also a big advocate for the environment, so I'm working toward a professional career focused on environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
Outside of the academic world, I'm a very artsy person. I love creative writing, and I enjoy reading fiction in a variety of genres. I also occasionally dabble in painting, sketching, and music. This year I'm learning to figure skate, which I'm super excited about! At home, I have two cats named Rosemary and August, who I love with all my heart.
I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with HerCampus this year, and I'm excited to see where it takes me!
