My name is Riya Joshi and I am from Orlando Florida. I am a freshman at the University of Florida double majoring in Business Administration and Sociology and specializing in Entrepreneurship. As an 19 year old girl I find myself constantly dabbling in new interests, but the ones that have never left my side are my interests in art, music, and sports.
As someone who enjoys art, I am very fond of art itself, like paintings and sculptures, and I am also a huge fan of literature as a form of art. I love painting and drawing as well as reading and writing. I believe they serve as mediums of expression in beautiful ways and that is the reason I feel so passionately about them as interests and hobbies.
Music is also another form of art in my eyes, but this one for me works as an escape, a form of art, and a way for me to connect with my culture. I am very immersed in Indian Classical music and I love it for its beauty and it's way of inviting me to understand and love my culture.
Sports are another interest of mine. I love trying new things when it comes to sports and I love the aspect of being part of a team. I enjoy getting involved in competitive environments and I love having a support system while playing the games you love!
