Rishita Sahu

MUJ '29

Rishita is an editor at the Her Campus MUJ chapter, where she writes about mental health, womanhood, relationships, and the intricate ways people grow, grieve, love, and become. She is drawn to the stories that live in the quiet spaces of everyday life, the often-overlooked complexities of growing up, the emotions we struggle to name, and the moments that shape who we are. Through her writing, she hopes to create space for honesty, empathy, and reflection, crafting stories that feel both deeply personal and universally familiar.

Beyond Her Campus, Rishita is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, where she is building a strong foundation in STEM and Artificial Intelligence. Alongside her coursework, she enjoys expanding her knowledge through independent learning and hands-on projects, embracing both analytical thinking and creative expression.

Outside of writing, Rishita finds joy in slower, quieter forms of creation. She enjoys painting, crocheting, reading, and exploring psychology, music, literature, philosophy, and contemporary culture. She believes the smallest moments often carry the greatest stories, and that writing has the power to make people feel seen. She finds inspiration in collecting fragments of everyday life that often become the beginning of a story. Whether she's writing about the complexities of womanhood, the quiet weight of growing up, the tenderness of friendship, or the resilience found in everyday moments, she hopes her work invites readers to pause, reflect, embrace the beautifully imperfect process of becoming, and find comfort in the shared experience of being human.
