Hello! My name is Renee Ayers and I currently attend Rutgers University as a communications and PR major. Prior to Rutgers, I also attended Temple University as a business management major before making the switch to communications. I was always very intrigued by the business world and exactly how companies are run. But, once I gained knowledge of communications and PR in the business field I quickly realized this was more geared towards me. I became fascinated with understanding how to market towards consumers and really taking time to learn what forms of communication are best for different groups of people.
I have mainly worked in the customer service industry! For the majority of my teen years I did babysitting and also worked at Playa Bowls. While working for Playa Bowls I had the opportunity to help run the Instagram page. On the Instagram account we would promote upcoming special deals, new seasonal bowls/drinks, and regular menu items. Along with gaining knowledge on social media marketing I also was able to get experience in the customer service industry. I learned how to deal with customers in a respectful and efficient manner. More recently, I have worked at Garage Clothing for the past year and also a receptionist job at a local vet. Garage Clothing has taught me many things about retail that I previously did not know, mainly the logistics. I have learned a lot about store traffic and performance while also how to upkeep a store and perform stock duties. My past job as a receptionist was also an amazing experience for me to improve my customer service skills. I processed transactions, operated phones, and dispensed medication to pet owners.
When I am not at school or work I enjoy basic leisure activities! I love to spend time with my friends, go shopping, and watch sports. My friends are very important to me and I love to spend my free time with them. We love to try new restaurants and go to sporting events together.
