Raziyah Walton

Savannah '26

My name is Raziyah Walton, and I am a senior at Savannah State University majoring in Social Work. I have a strong passion for helping others and making a positive difference in my community. After I graduate, I plan to earn my master’s degree and become a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). My long-term goal is to become a civil rights attorney so I can speak up for people who need fairness and justice.

Through my studies and field experience, I have worked with youth and families and learned how much impact a caring person can make. These experiences have taught me patience, empathy, and how important it is to truly listen. They also helped me see how social work connects with the justice system, which inspires me to focus on forensic social work in the future.

Outside of school, I enjoy singing and see it as a way to express myself and stay positive. I believe that God and faith guide me through everything I do and give me strength during hard times. My goal is to use my voice, education, and faith to uplift others and bring more hope and understanding into the world.
