Hi! My name is Prisilla Figueroa, and I’m a sophomore, majoring in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in Communication Studies. As a first-generation college student, I take pride in navigating higher education and working toward a career that allows me to support children and families. My passion for child development has only grown through my experiences, especially working as a nanny. I love learning about how children grow, communicate, and form relationships, and I hope to use my education to make a meaningful impact in their lives.
On campus, I’m part of Latinas Unidas and the Caminantes Spanish Catholic Bible Study, two communities that have helped me stay grounded in my identity and faith while building lasting friendships. I love making new friends, hosting events, and going out—whether it's a fun night with friends or organizing a get-together, I enjoy bringing people together and creating memorable experiences.
When I’m not studying or working, you can probably find me listening to J. Cole and Drake (going to their concert last year was a dream come true!). I also love spending time with my family, embracing my roots in Guanajuato, Mexico, and connecting with others through shared experiences.
