My name is Paris Ogbonna, and I am currently a junior at Bowie State University majoring in Public Health Informatics Technology. I chose this major because I’ve always been passionate about health care and technology, and I see this field as a bridge between the two. My academic journey has allowed me to explore health data, informatics, and community health while preparing me to pursue a master’s degree after graduation. I enjoy learning how technology can improve health outcomes, and I’m especially interested in how data can be used to make health systems more equitable and efficient.
Outside of academics, I stay very involved on campus. I serve as the captain of the Bowie State Step Team, where I not only perform but also help organize practices and events, which has taught me leadership and teamwork. I also volunteer with the Nutrition Lounge and food pantry, where I assist with community initiatives that promote wellness and access to healthy food. Additionally, I am part of Her Campus at Bowie State as a content creator, where I contribute lifestyle and campus-related articles that highlight student voices and experiences.
Beyond school and campus activities, I love creating lifestyle and beauty content on TikTok and Instagram. I focus on relatable topics like unboxings, financial tips, and personal style, and I’ve recently started working with brands as an ambassador. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, exploring new restaurants, going on Target runs, and spending time with my family, friends, and two cats.
