Hello everyone! My name is Oluwatobi Adebowale, and am a New York-based writer, creative, and healthcare professional shaped by curiosity, care, and lived experience. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I have always been drawn to people-their stories, their emotions, and the quiet moments that reveal who we truly are. move through the world with an awareness of how deeply our inner lives shape the way we love, heal, and show up for one another. This sensitivity informs both my writing and my work, grounding me in empathy and intention.
My path into healthcare grew from a genuine desire to care for others. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and have volunteered in hospital settings, where I supported patients through both clinical and administrative care. These experiences taught me that care is not only technical, but deeply emotional-rooted in presence, patience, and understanding. Currently, lam a junior studying Health Professions, with aspirations of working in the healthcare field as a Physical Therapist.
Creativity is where I process, release, and reconnect-not only with others, but with myself. Often, it feels like a homecoming: a place I can return to whenever I feel lost. Music is my constant companion, offering comfort and clarity when words fall short. I find joy in cooking, seeing it as an act of love and nourishment, and I turn to poetry to make sense of complex emotions. Writing allows me to explore womanhood, mental health, boundaries, and vulnerability with honesty and care. Through both my work and creative expression, I hope to continue building spaces where authenticity is honored and stories are held with tenderness.
