Olivia Vanderaa is a first-year student at the University of Florida majoring in Business Administration. She is interested in project management and the marketing field and enjoys opportunities that allow her to develop her planning, communication, and creative skills. She joined Her Campus UFL because she wanted to strengthen her event planning skills, learn more about the writing process, and contribute to meaningful experiences within her school community.
Outside of academics, Olivia enjoys spending time with friends and family, doing anything from a simple activity at home to a full-fledged adventure. Some of her personal interests include shopping, crafting, and just getting coffee with a friend. She especially enjoys walking around campus with a friend because she can always stop and chat with someone she sees along the way. These interests have helped shape her perspective and give her experiences that she can bring into Her Campus. Olivia also values equality, ambition, and creativity and tries to bring that mindset into both school and everyday life.
Through her work with Her Campus, Olivia hopes to continue improving her event planning skills while exploring areas that are interesting and relevant to other students. In the future, Olivia hopes to become a strong business leader and believes that her experience with Her Campus will help her develop valuable skills for that goal. She is excited to learn from other members and to contribute her own voice and ideas to Her Campus.
