Hi! I'm Ofelia, a freshman at UT Austin, and I'm excited to be a part of the Her Campus chapter. As an everyday writer and member, my focus within Her Campus revolves around my passion for health, technology, and the intersection of the two. As well as delving into my love for Hispanic culture, music, beauty, and wellness. In particular, I'm eager to explore topics like health education and sex education and shed light on essential issues that affect our everyday lives.
Before joining Her Campus, I gained valuable experience as an intern at an orthodontist's office and a hospital, where I witnessed firsthand the importance of health and wellness. This experience has fueled my desire to bridge the gap between technology and healthcare in my future career. I'm a first-year, eager to pursue my passion for technology and health. I'm thrilled to embark on this academic journey and continue to learn and grow in my field of study.
When I'm not writing or studying, I immerse myself in music from artists like Kanye, Kali Uchis, Karol G, SZA, and Beyoncé. Music is a significant source of inspiration for me and often finds its way into my writing. I also enjoy celebrating my Hispanic culture through food, celebrations, or exploring the vibrant music scene. I love everything fashion, and I am always open to trying new things and adventures. I live by the motto of "the fear of looking stupid is holding you back."
