Natalyn Yang is a Hmong American student, storyteller, and aspiring public relations professional based in Southern California. Born and raised in Fresno to refugee immigrant parents from Laos and Thailand, Natalyn draws strength and inspiration from her cultural roots and family’s journey to the United States. Her upbringing has shaped her into a resilient and compassionate individual, passionate about representation, advocacy, and community service.
Natalyn is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations at California State University, Fullerton. She is actively involved in PRSSA and has previously served on committees dedicated to outreach and sponsorship. Her professional experience spans nonprofit communications, event planning, and digital content creation. At organizations like The Fresno Center and RISE, Inc., she led community engagement efforts, managed social media, and created promotional materials for local events. Natalyn also has hands-on experience in behavioral therapy, where she provided one-on-one support for neurodivergent children. These diverse roles have strengthened her skills in leadership, collaboration, and storytelling.
Outside of academics and work, Natalyn enjoys lifestyle content creation, weight training, beauty, and self-development. She finds joy in documenting her fitness journey, promoting body positivity, and uplifting others through creative expression. With a strong sense of purpose and a heart rooted in her heritage, Natalyn is committed to making her family proud while paving her own path in media and public relations.
