Natalie Maynard is a sophomore at the University of Connecticut, serving as a chapter member for Her Campus UConn. She enjoys writing about sports, lifestyle, and beauty. Natalie is on the Pre-Teaching track for Elementary Education, concentrating in History. She is very passionate about education, and cannot wait to finally achieve her dream of becoming a kindergarten teacher. Her love for education started at a young age. When she was in elementary school, she would go home and play “teacher” with her stuffed animals!
Beyond HerCampus, she spends her time at UConn as the Secretary of UConn Future Educators, and as an Honors Seminar Facilitator, where she mentors first-year honors students through their first semester at UConn. Along with that, Natalie facilitates a workshop on Emotionally Intelligent Leadership.
When she is not writing for Her Campus, you’ll probably find her listening to The Weeknd, drinking a Strawberry Dragonfruit Dunkin’ Refresher, or watching/talking about basketball!
