Hello! I am Morgan Walker, and I am a part of the events team for Howard University's Her Campus chapter. We brainstorm, plan, and execute events, including brand-sponsored and formal activities. I also interned at Purpose Workforce Solution during the summer of '23 and led co-counselors at a summer camp, mentoring children in summer '25.
In addition to my involvement with the Her Campus events team, I have dedicated my time to volunteering at Northwestern Hospital in Illinois since my junior year of high school. There, I helped individuals navigate the hospital, delivered flowers and gifts, and offered companionship to patients and visitors. These roles have allowed me to develop strong interpersonal and caregiving skills, which directly support my aspirations as a sophomore nursing major at Howard University. My goal is to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, focusing on improving the health of the African American community.
During my leisure time, I enjoy cooking for myself and my family. Additionally, I enjoy shopping with my friends in my home city, Chicago, on the Magnificent Mile. I am really passionate about mentoring Black young adults in the health field, as there are not many who are represented. I want to guide them to become successful and to have confidence in a field not dominated by us.
