Mona Naghshineh

Mona is a student at the University of Toronto Mississauga, studying Geospatial Data Science, Computer Science, and Environmental Management. As one of the Directors of Events, she loves bringing people together and curating thoughtful, fun events that makes everyone feel welcome.

While school keeps her busy, Mona loves exploring the tech side of things, whether she’s analyzing spatial data with Python scripts, creating interactive maps with ArcGIS, or just automating GIS workflows, Mona and her laptop are in a very long-term committed relationship.

Outside academics, you’ll probably find her with an iced coffee in hand and a good book nearby. Mona is always adding to her reading list, ranging from fiction to self-help and wellness books, and believes nothing beats a cozy bookstore or a chill café vibe. She’s also a huge Formula 1 fan, always willing to ruin her sleep schedule for a Sunday race and is drawn to the sport’s energy and strategy.

To unwind, she hits the gym or goes to hot yoga classes to recharge and stay focused. Mona is always looking for that sweet spot between her studies, her interests, and a commitment to personal growth.
