Moksha Arora

NYU '28

Moksha Arora is a master’s student in Psychology at New York University, specializing in Social and Consumer Psychology. She graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology, where she developed a strong foundation in research methods, statistics, and the psychological study of media, attention, and behavior. Her academic interests sit at the intersection of psychology, culture, and wellbeing, with a particular focus on how modern consumer environments and digital platforms shape mental health, identity, and decision-making—especially among young people.

Beyond academics, Moksha has worked across research, media, and wellness spaces. She has contributed to psychology research labs, written and strategized content for campus publications, and worked in roles that blend data, communication, and education. Her background includes social media strategy, content creation, and applied research on how people engage with information online. Through these experiences, she has become especially interested in translating complex psychological ideas into accessible, engaging content that encourages critical thinking rather than passive consumption.

Outside of school and work, Moksha is passionate about holistic health, nervous system regulation, and integrative approaches to wellbeing. She enjoys exploring how ancient traditions like Ayurveda can meaningfully complement modern psychological science, as well as cooking, writing, and spending time in nature. She is excited to join the Her Campus NYU chapter as a way to contribute thoughtful, research-informed writing that resonates with students navigating mental health, media, identity, and everyday life in an increasingly overstimulating world.
