Miriam is an incoming chapter member at the Her Campus Carleton University Chapter with a keen interest in reporting on music, live concerts, fashion, wellness, and international politics. She is passionate about religious rights and increasing women’s representation in politics, and hopes to use journalism as a platform to amplify important global and social issues. Miriam is especially excited to bring her knowledge of world affairs and storytelling to her campus community.
She is a first-year journalism student pursuing a Bachelor of Journalism with a minor in Political Science. In high school, Miriam was a member of her school’s broadcasting team, where she developed skills in media production and on-air reporting. She has also worked with organizations such as One Child, as well as advocacy groups including Feminist Majority and Women in Politics, experiences that deepened her commitment to social justice and political awareness.
Outside of journalism, Miriam enjoys attending concerts by her favorite artists, exploring fashion and beauty, visiting coffee shops, and spending time with cute dogs. She looks forward to contributing her perspective, creativity, and passion to Her Campus Carleton.
